MISSION - The two-part epic docuseries Sitting Bull, starring local Lakota actor Michael Spears as the renowned Lakota leader Sitting Bull, premiered at Sinte Gleska University’s Lakota Studies Tipi Theater on September 11, 2026. The screening, coordinated by the SGU Lakota Language Club, was free and open to the public, giving community members an opportunity to view the highly anticipated production.

Following the screening, Spears, a member of the Kul Wičaša Lakota from the Lower Brulé Sioux Tribe of South Dakota, participated in a question-and-answer session with audience members.
