About the Role

Transport University students to and from classes on a timely basis according to the established
schedules and routes for the academic year.

Requirements

Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Maintain monthly logs to include locations of pick-up sites, time and odometer readings, and class cancellation, logs will be handed into the VP of General Administration at the end of each month.

  • Semester bus schedules will be developed and followed. Van Driver will be required to call

  • and confirm student needs a ride each day. Students who are not riding will be reported to the VP of General Administration to update riding schedule.

  • Will be required to have all students completed the Student Route Schedule before they can be provided transportation. A copy of this form will be handed into the VP of General

    Administration.

  • Will inform students to fill out the transportation survey for each semester prior to picking

  • up the student for class.

  • Will be required to communicate and respond to the VP of General Administration for

  • updates, concerns and any pertinent information.

  • Will assist with driving students to different SGU events/trainings/activities/meetings.

  • Maintain the assigned vehicle in a clean and safe operating condition with regularly

    scheduled vehicle servicing.

  • Will be required to report to the maintenance office after the morning bus run for daily

    assignments.

  • Operate the vehicle according to local and state highway traffic regulations.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications & Experience:


  • Responsible person with a high school diploma or GED certificate.

  • Will be required to follow the chain of command and all SGU Personnel Policies and Procedures.

  • Must have a cell phone for communication purposes with students, staff and supervisor.

  • Must be willing to assist with other job tasks as a floater in the departments of security,

  • maintenance, custodial and food service.

  • Other duties as assigned in the performance of his/her responsibilities.
