Mission Statement: Sinte Gleska University serves the students of SGU and all community members of the Sicangu Reservation and surrounding areas. As such, we are both an academic library and a public library for users of all ages.

•Policies-We serve the students and staff of the university as well as all citizens of Todd County. Library cards are available with picture ID. A maximum of four items may be checked out at one time.
•We have ten student and ten public computers available. As members of the South Dakota State Library Network and South Dakota State Library we have access to over forty databases for homework help, research, career and test preparation, genealogy, and general interest.
•Hours- 8-10 Monday-Thursday during the school year 8-5 on Friday, Summer hours 8-5 M-F
•Our book collection totals 50,000 volumes from children’s to adult fiction and non-fiction. Our Unkiciksuyapi Collection upstairs is non-circulating collection of books about Native Americans available for research purposes.
•We host a summer reading program for children as well as monthly programs for each Headstart Center throughout the school year.
•Printing charges are 5 cents a page; faxes are $1 per page.
•Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian after 5 p.m.
•The Library is closed for both federal and tribal holidays. Scheduling is also subject to change due to weather and university events or closings.
•Cell phone use is prohibited in the library in order to maintain a quiet atmosphere for study.
