Brandi Bettlyoun

Hello! My name is Brandi Bettelyoun, I’m a 38-year-old Lakota woman from the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. I’m also a dedicated mother to two amazing children, a tribal employee, and a student of Sinte Gleska University. I enjoy spending time with my family, meeting new people, reading new books, and just making the best of each day.  I started my higher education journey last year with Sinte Gleska University and it has been a great experience. My children are my driving force behind everything I do & furthering my education is imperative to building a good foundation for success for my little family.
 
I am currently working towards my AA in Business Management with plans to pursue a BA in Business Management -Tribal Management Emphasis. 
 
There are so many great things to be said about Sinte Gleska University, but my favorite thing would have to be the wonderful instructors I have met and the location of the University. As an older student, I was unsure about this educational journey I am on, but they all are so welcoming and very helpful, they gave me the confidence I needed to jump into it, and it's been great. 
 
I am a single mother of two young children (7 & 10), working full-time and taking a full class schedule, any scholarship funds would be a great benefit for my family & me, it will help me alleviate financial debts I have and help me save for the upcoming semesters.
