Adult Basic Education
PROVIDING FREE GED TUTORING & TESTING FOR 40 YEARS
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Sinte Gleska University Adult Basic Education/GED Department operates with the belief that learning is a life-long process and adults without a high school diploma should have the opportunity to earn their GED high school equivalency certificate. Since 1972, the ABE/GED Department has helped over 2,400 people earn a GED certificate, providing them with a second chance to pursue higher education or employment. The ABE/GED Department operates three community learning centers and one satellite site which provide services to Todd, Mellette, Tripp and Gregory counties in South Dakota.
Our community learning centers offer adult education and GED preparation classes to prepare adults for the GED test battery. We offer non-traditional classrooms and individualized, one-on-one tutoring. All of our services are provided free of charge to eligible adults. Each learning center maintains regular business hours except for major holidays and enrollment is open year-round. GED Testing is available at the Mission and Gregory locations.
Obtaining your GED certificate can open a world of new opportunities. From college to employment, you can start working towards improving your life today. The Adult Basic Education Program can provide you with the tools and support you need to succeed.
