Tribal Charter

Lower Brule Community College was chartered by the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe in March of 1993 to establish and operate a post-secondary educational institution on the Lower Brule Sioux Indian Reservation.

Accreditation

Lower Brule Community College, through an affiliation agreement with Sinte Gleska University, Rosebud, South Dakota, grants SGU college credit for all classes. Sinte Gleska University is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Our affiliation agreement enables us to offer classes leading to an Associate of Arts (AA) degree.

Lower Brule Community College offers additional courses through an articulation agreement with South Dakota State University, Brookings, South Dakota.
